Golden Rim Resources (ASX: GMR, Golden Rim) today announced it had received additional significant assays for the drilling programme at Falun, Sweden.
The Falun Project forms part of the Bergslagen Joint Venture between Golden Rim’s 35% owned Abu Dhabi alliance company, Royal Falcon Mining LLC and Drake Resources Ltd (ASX: DRK).
Today’s results continue to confirm the presence of high grade gold mineralisation and demonstrate that broad zones of significant gold, copper and bismuth mineralisation remains at the site.
Selected intercepts include:
• 32.0m @ 3.42 g/t gold, 0.7% copper and 0.04% bismuth from 32.9m (Hole 02-09); including 1.0 m @ 32.4 g/t gold, 1.4% copper and 0.15% bismuth, and
• 14.7m @ 2.5 g/t gold, 0.8% copper and 0.01% bismuth, from 95.9m (also Hole 02-09)
• 18.6m @ 3.2 g/t gold, 0.9% copper and 0.03% bismuth, from 8.8m (Hole 08-09)
• 13.0m @ 2.2 g/t gold, 0.4% copper and 0.02% bismuth from 205.5m (Hole 09-09)
Golden Rim’s Managing Director, Mr Craig Mackay, said that “Golden Rim and its alliance partner, Royal Group, continue to be pleased with the assays being received from the Falun drilling programme.”
“The second batch of assays from Falun provide further confirmation that the high grade historic gold results are valid and that broad zones of gold, copper and bismuth mineralisation extend at depth below the previous near-surface drilling,” said Mr Mackay.
