Copper drops as other metals prices remain mixed

Copper prices were lower Thursday after China said it will cut oversupply after adding to inventories earlier in the year was one of the main drivers sending copper prices up in the past months.
Also sending prices lower was a gain of 1,150 tonnes in London Metal Exchange stockpiles higher during the session.

Gold prices fall on dollar strength

Precious metals prices were lower Wednesday, with gold falling on a stronger US dollar and on declines in oil prices.
The dollar was helped by durable goods orders that were up 4.9 percent in July and new home sales there were 9.6 percent higher during the month, as reported by the US Commerce Department.

Lead prices were up again Tuesday, adding $36 to $2,061 per tonne on the London Metal Exchange as producer Hunan looked at smelters after instances of lead poisoning in Shaanxi province.
