Mr. Curtis joins chairman Charles Brown, Edward Stanojev, Jr., Ryan Kutty, and Michael Sandidge as current members of the company’s Board of Directors.
Duties of Mr. Curtis include assisting management with various facets of the Mayan Gold, Inc. transaction, and he will work closely with the company and Mayan to coordinate completion of the transaction, including coordinating the efforts of geologists, regulatory agencies, and other parties necessary to accomplish the required due diligence and effect the closing.
G & S and Mayan Gold, Inc. agreed to extend the target closing date for the transaction to July 31, 2008, subject to mutual board approvals.
Charles Brown, chairman of G & S Minerals, said we’re pleased that Mr. Curtis has offered his services to assist the company in completing the Mayan Gold transaction.
Mr. Curtis, as a shareholder and the former Chairman and CEO of our predecessor company, is familiar with our corporate structure and operations and will be a key contributor to achievement of G & S’ acquisition of the Mayan Gold opportunity, concluded Mr. Brown.
