Integra describes Salt Creek discovery as extraordinary
by Gill Montia

Integra Mining Ltd, the emerging gold mining company, has completed one of this year’s best gold exploration drill holes in Australia.
The company has reported on one of the latest holes from the greenfield Salt Creek prospect at the Randalls project, east of Kalgoorlie. The intersection from 74 metres depth was 40m grading 7 grams/tonne gold, including 14m @ 13.37 g/t.
Integra has also announced another drill hole from the south-eastern-most 80m step-out section of the identified Salt Creek system, that returned 37m @ 4.59 g/t.
According to Managing director Chris Cairns, Salt Creek has now been identified over 500m “with drilling continuing to further define the overall extent of mineralisation”.
He remarked that “The Salt Creek discovery continues to deliver extraordinary results from shallow depths.”
The company operates the New Celebration gold plant, which is sited between Kalgoorlie and Kambalda, and if gold production at Salt Creek expands in line with expectations, to 120,000 ounces per annum by 2009, Integra will re-site the plant at or near Randalls.
Salt Creek is also in the same region as Integra’s Red Dale prospect, a large virgin discovery.
In early November, Integra raised $A31.5 million ($US27.53m) in a share placing. The funds will be used as working capital for further exploration, and for the relocation of the New Celebration plant.
