Metals prices were mixed this week. Most base metals higher on the week, but nickel declined by 0.9 percent.
Zinc gained 2.9 percent during the week to $3,745 per tonne on declining inventories. Meanwhile, copper added 4.9 percent to $7,510 per tonne.
While one strike in Mexico was cancelled, other labor problems in Mexico and in Chile could result in strikes and disrupted supplies.
Prices for precious metals were mixed as well. Gold added 1.3 percent to $653.80 per troy ounce over the week, while platinum traded $1,278 per troy ounce in late in the day on Friday in London for a decline of 0.7 percent during the week.
