Precious metals prices were mixed on Friday, with gold and silver higher but platinum lower. June gold added $3.80 to $681.80 per troy ounce by early afternoon in New York, while July silver gained 12 cents to $13.58 per troy ounce. Gold drops significantly on stronger dollar

Precious metals prices were lower on Thursday afternoon in New York. Gold dropped substantially, falling $9.40 to $678.00 per troy ounce as the US dollar strengthened. Silver was 40 cents lower to $13.46 per troy ounce, while platinum dropped $13.60 to $1,303.60 per troy ounce.

Metals prices were down in early afternoon trade in New York on Tuesday. June gold dropped $6.70 to $687.50 per troy ounce, while May sliver fell by 27 cents to $13.78 per troy ounce. Platinum was $20.20 lower to trade at $1,311.50 per troy ounce.

Palladium rises as other precious metals see declines

Precious metals prices were mixed on Thursday, with most lower on the session. The exception was June palladium, which added $4.75 to $374.90 per troy ounce after going as high as $377.90 per troy ounce during the day, its highest price since May 2006. Spot palladium traded in a range between $367.50/372.50.

Lead, nickel both reach new records as inventories decline

Metals prices were mostly higher on Tuesday, with nickel and lead both hitting new records despite the fact that nickel ended the session lower than Monday’s close.
Nickel was 1.8 percent lower on the day to $48,500 per tonne, but went above $50,000 per tonne earlier in the session as inventories in London Metal Exchange warehouses [...]

Base metals prices were higher on Wednesday. Three-month nickel hit another record high when it reached $49,550 per tonne during the session and added almost $1,000 on the day. Cash prices have already breached the $50,000 per tonne level.
