In the metals markets this week, prices were down across the board. Among base metals, copper lost 4.6 percent on the week to $7,850 per tonne, while nickel lost 6.5 percent to $21,500 per tonne, aluminium was down 5.4 percent to $2,645 per tonne, and zinc declined by 4.9 percent. In precious metals, gold was down 2.8 percent on the week to $632.00 per troy ounce. Silver declined by 5.7 percent to $12.02 per troy ounce, platinum lost 4.3 percent to $1,230 per troy ounce, and palladium was down by 0.6 percent to $343 per troy ounce.
