Commodities prices rebounded on Thursday after significant declines earlier in the week.
On the London Metal Exchange, three-month copper gained $15 to $1,012 per tonne, while three-month aluminium prices climbed by $48 to $2,652 per tonne. The price of aluminium was close to Tuesday’s 171/2 month high of $2,675 per tonne.
Gold was up more than $9 from its Wednesday close in New York, to $557.25/$558.00 per troy ounce in late morning trade in London. With the gain, gold has recovered nearly half the decline it has seen since reaching a 25-year high last week.
