Gold continues values loss

Prices for precious metals declined on Tuesday, while plastics either stayed the same or increased in price.
In newly offered plastics futures on the London Metal Exchange, linear low-density polyethylene futures rose $4 to trade at $939 per tonne, and September delivery polypropylene held steady at $934 per metric tonne.

London Metals Exchange opens trading in plastics futures

The London Metals Exchange, which has only traded nonferrous metals it its 128-year history, began trading plastics futures on Friday.
The exchange added polypropylene (PP) and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) contracts to its portfolio. Trade was light, as it was expected to be on the first day.

Gold up but copper slows

Gold hit a three-month low of $418.25 before rebounding to $419.00/9.70 after a Friday close of $420.00/420.80.
Copper prices fell as well, as production is increasing while demand is slowing. Three-month copper was down $11, to $2993 a tonne.

Gold was down to a three-month low, this week, hitting $420.05 per troy ounce on Thursday, down $6 for the week before a slight recovery on Friday.
Even with that small rise in price on Friday, gold still lingered near that low as it traded around $420.20/$421.00
